Hailing from New Haven, CT, Isaiah Cross is a young, up and coming jazz pianist currently studying jazz piano at Vanderbilt University at the Blair School of Music in Nashville, TN. An emerging voice on the CT and Nashville jazz scene, Isaiah’s style is forward thinking with a deep respect for the jazz tradition. Drawing influences from jazz pianists such as Brad Mehldau, Bud Powell, and Art Tatum, Isaiah has been developing a muscular sound with an intimate, lyrical touch faithful to his inventive solo style and evident in his latest trio work.
